Our Purpose
The Japanese martial art called Aikido is known to the general public through television, movies, and martial arts demonstrations. However, these rarely grasp the essence of Aikido and often misunderstand it entirely. Through our films, we would like to express Aikido not merely as a tool of fighting, but as a crucial part of the process of maturing, as the main character faces various difficulties.
All of our film are fiction based on episodes experienced by Koichi Kashiwaya, who has taught Aikido for nearly 50 years in Japan, the United States, Canada, Brazil, Thailand, Philippines, and Australia. Our film project is thus highly anticipated by the Aikido community internationally.
“Looking for Ai” is our first feature film and directed by Koichi Kashiwaya.
